House Deputy Speaker for Mindanao and District I Representative Beng Climaco the other day inaugurated and turned over to barangay officials the newly- rehabilitated Patalon barangay hall, as she pursues commitment to help improve delivery of service to the people.
The lady solon trekked to Patalon to personally turn over the project, costing P1 million, to the Barangay Council headed by Chairman Gaudencio Rojas.
“This is one of the projects identified by Chairman Rojas and we are happy that this project will hasten their services to their constituents in the barangay. This time around, the barangay hall is condusive to all our officers and our residents with all the daily events that they hold in this edifice,” the lady solon stressed.
The project is funded through the congresswoman’s Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF). It was the result of a consultation with the constituents in the area, who cited the renovation of the barangay hall as one of their needed projects.
Cong. Climaco said: “We value participatory governance and consultation. That is how we should continue this leadership. All elected officials are just stewards and we need to listen to our people so that we all can become effective in our delivery of services.”
Other barangays in the west coast were recipients of P1million worth of projects recently, following the conduct of consultations in the different barangays.
More infrastructures and other projects initiated by Cong. Climaco are expected to be unveiled in the days to come. (Marvin Segura)
