ZAMBOANGA CITY/11 August 2012—The arrest of a man identified as Isnajir Sakkam is reportedly a loss to the Abu Sayyaf Group to which he belongs, said Director Samuel Pagdilao Jr., chief of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG).
The PNP-CIDG chief in the region said Sakkam is among the Abu Sayyaf Group members allegedly involved in a 2011 abduction of a 14-year old at the Golden Harvest Plantation in Tairan, Lantawan, Basilan.
Sakkam’s arrest at the Zamboanga City Public Market was a collaborative effort of police and military operatives who responded upon intelligence advice by the Community Investigative Support (CIS), a network of volunteers that assist the CIDG in the apprehension of wanted law offenders. (TPSA)
