Unidentified men grab 18-year old teen

JOLO, Sulu/01 June 2017–Unidentified perpetrators forcibly took a high school student on board a vehicle and as of press time reportedly demanded for ransom.

The high schooler, said officials from the Jolo Municipal Police Station, was identified by her friend as Armalyn “Ling-Ling” Sahipa of Talipao town.

According to family members who gave a statement, Sahipa, 18 years old, asked for her parents’ permission at about two in the afternoon to go to Jolo National High School to secure necessary documents that served as her requirements for the enrollment period.

However, thirty minutes after, a friend (requesting not to be named for this news report) received a text message informing about her abduction. The latter in reply asked for her location, but the kidnapper responded through the text exchange the demand for one hundred thousand pesos (Php100,000.00).

The JMPS is still monitoring the case. (TPSA)
