Zamboanga City, PHILIPPINES–Citing the need to fully support law enforcers in the campaign against all forms of criminality, District I Representative Maria Isabelle ‘Beng’ Climaco has committed to continue exerting efforts to assist the local police not only in terms of transportation and training but in other aspects as well.

This, as she turned over to City Police OIC Director Col. Mario Yanga through Mayor Celso Lobregat last Friday two transportation facilities for the use of the Women and Child Protection Unit under Insp. Esperanza Santiago.

“This is for the conduct of safety and rescue operations for victims of domestic violence, child abuse as well as supplementary to the anti-kidnapping initiatives of the city government,” Cong. Climaco said while turning over two Toyota Innova units to the police during rites at the City Police Office over the weekend.

Climaco’s office was able to secure the two transportation facilities through a request to the Congressional Appropriations committee and with the support of Congressman Edcel Lagman and other officials.

She said her office will continue to do everything possible to continuously assist the police in any way it can.
