Philippine Navy recruitment on

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines/28 January 2010—Recruitment to the Philippine Navy is now on, as the Naval Forces Western Mindanao command invites Filipino citizens, both male and female, to join the Team Navy either as officer or candidate soldier.

NavForWM spokesman Maj. Asaali said the examination date has not yet been set but the invitation to all qualified candidates for officership and for prospect soldiers has already been released.

In an official call issued by the NavForWM, requirements were set for officer candidates as follows:  must be single and never been married with no children, holder of a ny baccalaureate degree, aged between 21 and 28 years, stands at least 5 feet tall for the females and at least 5′4″ for the males, and ust be physically and mentally fir for military training.

Candidate soldiers on the other hand, must have acquired at least 72 units in college or possess any certified skill as per assessed by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authoriy (TESDA), and at least 18 to 23 years old.  Requirements in height, civil status, citizenship, and physical and mental fitness are relatively the same as those of officer candidates.

Applicants for NOCC Examination must present the followig documentary requirements:  A true copy from the original birth certficate, a certified photo copy of Transcript of Records, a certified photo copy of the college diploma (with the original diploma presented for authentication), two copies of 2″x2″ colored photos with white background, and an original NBI Clearance.

Meanwhile, applicants for enlistment (BSC) must present a true copy from the original birth certficate, a certified photo copy of Transcript of Records, a certified photo copy of the certificate of completion of any skill from any vocational school that is recognized and certified by TESDA,  two copies of 2″x2″ colored photos with white background, and an original NBI Clearance.

All candidates must present a test permit, and bring a copy of their 2″x2″ photo and a pencil on the scheduled examination date.  The examinee is not allowed to use a calculator during the examinations, and is required to be in white tee-shirt that must be tucked in his jeans.  He must have the proper hair cut.

    I am taking BSEDucation course. Do I have the chance to join the naval force evethough im not into technical cousre?
