Certified safe Christmas lights named

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines/27 November 2011 by Frencie Carreon–The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has identified brands of Christmas lights that are certified as safe.
DTI 9 Regional Information Officer Lowell Vallecer said brands that have passed the required safety tests of the DTI from January 2009 to November 2011 are:  DSL Gam (DSL Gam Enterprises), Golden Seasons and Twinkle Star (Golden Seasons Corporation; Golden Hit Corporation), Star (Hyrax Enterprises), ET, GHC, and Lucky Star (Ikhea Lighting, Inc.), 7-Star, Northstar (Jwer International), Landlite (Landlite Philippines Corporation), Luck Deer, MLA (Main Stream General Merchandise), Northstar (New Davao Davchi Trading Center), AKO (Nortek Dale International Merchandising Corp.), Andrews (P&J Multitrade Venture, Inc. ), Goldcrest, Pinecrest (Pinecrest Enterprises), Fuji Bright (Sheratone Enterprises), Mabuhay Star (Wan Da Xing Trading International, Inc.), and Diamond Bright (Wexford International Sales, Inc.).
Moreover, products of Shining East Marketing Corp.  are also certified safe by the DTI. These brands are:  Yuletide Fantasy, The Magic of Lights, Season of Lights, The Joy of Lights, Light & Shine, Hawaii Lights, and Christmas Star.
DTI calls on consumers to report those establishments selling Christmas lights that do not bear ICC marks to DTI Direct (02) 751-3330, or to the nearest DTI Regional and Provincial Office. (Frencie Carreon, The PhilSouth Angle)
